Introduction

Bespoke Jewellery is a email template I designed for a fictitious jewellery company that creates bespoke pieces and has a team of designers that create different designs and styles.

Most of the websites I found were really engaging and I loved how they used colours and fonts to lure the customer in. I also signed up to some newsletters so I could see how the email templates are designed and I found them to be really engaging and exactly the same as the website.

I am a big lover of small independent jewellery businesses as I find their jewellery to have character and just a uniqueness to their designs, so furthermore I wanted to create an email template for this jewellery business, that specialises in bespoke pieces and showcases independent designers.

Wireframes + Design

After this research, I started the process of creating a quick and basic wireframe of roughly where I wanted the text and imagery to go. I then started to come up with a colour palette and I thought that pale and a darkish pink would look great for an email template and for the fictitious brand I had created. I felt that having a black font would look simple and easy for the customer against the pink hues.

I wanted to use two different fonts for the header and for the brand for the company, as I noticed that many jewellery websites had used this and I liked the juxtaposition of the two fonts next to each other. Moving on, I felt that having an assortment of images, layering over each other at the top of the email template would look simple and clean for the customer, as their eye would be drawn to that specific area so they can take in the information and check out the jewellery.

After this I wanted to create a section on the email template that showcased a new collection from a designer on the website, which would then have a button that they could use which would take them to the jewellery website. This in turn would make the customer use the website and check out the products they have to offer. I wanted to keep the email template short and very direct with the information and the products they have to offer.

Conclusion

Overall I feel like this email template went well. I like how short and and simple it is, yet is easy for the targeted customer to access the information and the products of the jewellery website.
